About Chip D’Angelo

Chip D’Angelo has over 42 years of experience in establishing, managing and growing technical services, consulting, engineering, industrial hygiene, and environmental contracting businesses as well as securing and managing mega projects. Mr. D’Angelo has formed, owned and operated as President and CEO, companies, with annual revenues of $5MM to $500MM. He has planned, designed and managed over $2.0 billion of environmental services, consulting, contracting and remediation project work throughout the United States, Mexico, and Europe. He is a proven executive combining strategy and leadership skills into the development of successful enterprises and projects. He has extensive hands-on experience in operations, finance, project management, business development , branding and marketing, , communications, public relations and disaster management.

Mr. D’Angelo’s project experience has ranged from the management and abatement of asbestos in such prestigious building as the World Trade Center, the United Nations, the Pentagon, the White House, and multiple class A high rise buildings nationwide, to the demolition of retired coal fired power plants, to the remediation and re-development of over 600 acres of urban Brownfield properties to the closure of 750 acres of landfills. He has experience in innovative soil and waste treatment technologies including separation, in-situ, thermal and washing processes. He has also managed emergency response and related environmental and property loss claims after major storms and hurricanes.

Mr. D’Angelo has personally formed and grown two renowned industry firms with no outside financial backing resulting in successful consulting operations which he subsequently sold to industry partners for eight-figure values. During those periods he acquired ten firms.  While an officer of a publicly traded firm he identified, led due diligence and was involved with the valuation and negotiations of over 25 mergers and acquisitions, operating nationwide and internationally. The combined value of these acquisitions exceeded $750MM.

Mr. D’Angelo’s prior environmental consulting, engineering, industrial hygiene and construction management experience includes founding and serving as President of Kaselaan & D’Angelo Associates, a nationally recognized asbestos consulting, management, industrial hygiene, and analytical laboratory, before its sale to an international engineering and construction management conglomerate after 10 years of 20% internal growth.

His second major success was forming and growing WCD Group which was formed in 2002 and grew into one of the most prestigious environmental risk engineering and claims resolution firms in the country. The customer base included North America's top environmental and property insurance carriers and Lloyds. This firm was acquired in 2018 by AJ Gallagher, the 4th largest insurance services firm in the world.

He has worked in both the private and public sectors. President George H. Bush appointed Mr. D’Angelo in 1992 to the Leadership Committee of the Business Industry Council. In 1990, he was appointed by New Jersey Governor James Florio to the Department of Environmental Protection and Energy, Clean Air Council. He also has served as a Senior Vice President and consultant to the McGraw Hill Companies—Construction Information Group (ENR, Dodge, Sweets, Architectural Record).
